Poets Walk Central Park

Poets Walk Central Park

Poet’s Walk, Central Park in 1994. Shot with a large-format view camera during a freezing rain. The hands down most popular photograph I’ve ever shot.
A few years ago, the glistening stones were dug up and replaced by dirt. You think that everything will still be there – but as an ancient philosopher said, you can’t step in the same river twice. This should be printed large. At least 16 x 20 inches.

Secret Garden H1

Secret Garden H1

2008. My favorite spot in Central Park. You turn a corner in the formal gardens and this scene opens before you. There are some infrared techniques that are interesting in the creation of this shot, but I won’t go into the magic.  The Secret Garden is the name of a book by Frances Hodgson Burnett. It was also a very good movie.

Bethesda Passage, Central Park

Bethesda Passage, Central Park

Bethesda Passage in Central Park before it was renovated. Photographed with large format view camera. What that means? You can go big with a scan from a 4 x 5 inch negative.

Night Jogger Central Park Reservoir

Night Jogger Central Park Reservoir

Night jogger on running track around the Central Park Reservoir. Looking west from 90th street (Engineer’s Gate). Pretty tricky lighting with the moon and the blurred runner. From a technical point of view - one of the more difficult Central Park shots. Very popular with reservoir joggers.

All prints include signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity along with print handling and framing instructions. I don't offer framing or matting.
