This is a wonderful image. My mind goes to so many places. “What’s going on? What is she upset about?” It’s a great example of the use of a dramatic question in photography. I know you have training as a screenwriter, I write plays occasionally, and this is such a great image in that way.

I think she was just tired of grocery shopping with mom. You can’t see her mother (stage-right) chatting away with someone and you know how you get when you’re just shopped out. I thought the filled cart was a clue, but there was also that teenage angst thing going on.
