My father’s house for breakfast. My sister Joan is making the face (bottom of image). My father is at 9:00. I’m there obviously at 12. At one o’clock is my sister Nancy. And at five is Joan’s fiancee, Freddie. Shot into the lamp that hangs over the breakfast table. The things that look like crop circles are placemats.

Hi Dave,
Does your dad play cards against other people at this table? Do these other people often wonder why your dad is so lucky at winning? You may have let a secret out!

You know - he doesn’t play cards. But he does play a lot of scrabble at that table. I think he plays for small change. But you might be onto something since he usually wins and I never did play scrabble with him at any other table.

Great shot.
Puts a different perspective on family gatherings.
I like the changes that you did recently. Have been away for teh last 10 days in Las Vegas (saw Grand Canyon); San Fran and Yosemite, which is a photographers dream. Will send you a link to some stuff soon.

Is it my imagination or do your family look a bit long-suffering? (I recognize that look from my own clan when I whip out a camera).
Loving your current run of Infra-Red shots

Yes. I am a royal pain with the camera. However, when they want photographs of some event (wedding, birthday, etc.) I’m the guy. Not only that, but when you walk into my dad’s house, there are the books I did for him of his 80th birthday; a wedding; and like that. So they put up with it. (Long suffering is a good way to put it).
