Lake and San Remo Towers - IR

ir-san-remo-towers-1927 Lake and San Remo Towers - IR

Early morning - around 7 a.m. I was trying to figure out what this reminded me of - and now I see - it feels like a prehistoric diorama. It’s almost as if someone set out to do a model of the city and put it behind glass.

Are you shooting in B&W mode?

Craig - I’m shooting all the IR stuff with the 40D which means I’m shooting RAW. The conversions to b&w or whatever are all done in Lightroom. If you are going to try this, the main thing is to get a “good” custom color balance off of grass or something similar. — DB

Dear Dave,

I lost the link to your photo of a Diane Arbus exhibition poster (or sth) - a poster or board that said: “I love to go, where I’ve never gone before.” Is this photo still on your blog?

Great work. I am a frequent visitor to your blog. Thanks.

Greetings from Warsaw, Poland

Hi Lukasz -

It’s in the old blog (volume I) — here’s the link:

I am going to try this. I have the Canon 640 and filter holder/lens cap. I have a 25 A and will buy an 87. I also intend to try it with the Nikon stuff.
