Creating Beauty

They’re in the same business as I am. But they do their magic on women; in this case on the upper-east-side. In order to create beauty in either case, you need to take a journey through the land of the living dead. How long this phase lasts, depends solely on the fates. Make sure to pay tribute to them when you can. The fates are a capricious group; giving and taking on a whim.

BTW - these recent “pinkish” pictures were done with the “Aged Photo” preset in Lightroom. I don’t ever seem to be able to take to color for any length of time, but I like these faded subdued images.

So,
you’re a plastic surgeon for men in your day job?
Just a wild guess from another MD (ophthalmology) wondering what your speciality is.

I have a doctorate in packaging and shipping. I spend most of the day working on new packaging techniques, some of which have been published in The Global Packaging Magazine. When I have a chance, I take a couple of pictures in my spare time.

Well, well, well!
Here’s to wild guesses. Now I see the parallels to the hairdressers.
Thanks for putting this right.

I really liked this image quite a bit, and thought the choice of the Lightroom preset was a perfect choice. I gather you use Lightroom now? I like it, I wonder what you think.

I use Lightroom for just about everything I do connected with images: post-processing, managing images, and printing. Whether I’m working with an image from a b&w negative, or a raw file - it all goes through Lightroom before it ends up on the web, or on paper. i.e. I like it a lot - DB
