Metropolitan Museum

Violinist - Metropolitan Museum (Night)

I'm amazed this turned out as well as it did.  Whatever light there was was from small lights on the underside of the rails - that reflected up off the steps.  50mm / F1.4 / 1/20th / handheld / 800 ISO.  At the time, I can only say I thought he was dressed all in black and I'm pretty sure I was manually focusing.

One of the things I like about having fast prime lenses with the SLR - this was shot at 200 ISO, 1/3000 of a second; f2.5 (it's an f2.0 lens).  It's not that you always want to freeze stuff - but sometimes you do and it's always nice to be able to do it without pumping up the ISO too much.
