Cook - B&W

This may not have been the best shot to futz with since it is very flat (the flash went off by accident) - but here it is with some PS manipulation. More experiments to follow.

One more note about the A75 - I would not advise using it in auto-focus mode for street type photography, i.e. where there may be several planes of focus to consider - it is useless for that.  My first instinct to keep it in the mode where you know what it is focusing on was the right way to go.  Since this shot had basiclaly one big plane - it wasn't a problem though.

I realize that this is not a great way to start off the work week, but I found this article in the NY Times between a would-be Egyptian martyr and his indoctrinator (for the train bombing in Spain) to be an unfiltered look into the mind of a terrorist: Conversation Transcript.  Talk about 5 minutes of fame.
