Man From Punjab

The on-camera flash is the cause of the awful shadow against the gate. He was waiting for his boss to arrive to open the deli - this was at 6 a.m. this morning. He pulled me over and said, "Take my picture." After he saw the image on the back of the A75 he said: "How many you give me?"

I told him: one. "One! I want 25 of them," he said laughing. Tremendously hard-working guy. I think his normal day is about 12 hours. But if I see him behind the counter, I usually wait for the other guy since this one never puts enough cream cheese on the bagel. And he tells me, almost every day that he never eats.

"You know what I eat?. I have a piece of bread in the morning, and that's it man. One piece of bread." I tell him I don't believe him. "No man, one piece of bread. That's it." And then patting his stomach he says, "I'm on a diet man."

Sewer & Curb

Took a shot done in color with the A75 and did this with the Retouche B&W Filter (demo version).

Bike & Red Wall

This (PowerRetouche) looks like an amazing set of plug-ins.  I've downloaded the demo.  This package has just about everything I've been looking for (including lot's of things to give you the look of b&w film) but more than that -- you can control the color brightness/darkness levels without changing the color itself; and there is some amazing noise reduction stuff in here.  Won't go on about it but I'll do some printing to convince myself but for $175 - this is a no-brainer for me (unless there's someone out there making something better).

I know someone who has lots of plug-ins and I'm guessing has this one, but you know something - if I'm going to really use a piece of software - I buy it.  Isn't that conventional idea?  Someone has spent a lot of time and energy to come up with this thing and if it's good and I'm going to use it I want to support them: and especially if it's a small software company.  I want them to have the cash to keep making products.

Sleeping Man #97

I got up to roam around the neighborhood at 6 a.m. and found this fellow curled beneath the stairs of one of the most expensive homes in the neighborhood.
