Okay - so here's the question: if you are shooting digital for b&w or for a toned photograph, is there a benefit in shooting in the RAW mode (assuming you are not using the RAW module to create the b&w image).  That is the question.  Whether it is nobler to bear the size and slowness of RAW shooting or to take arms against a sea of -- well you get the idea.

Ancient Egyptian

I was standing in front of this headless Egyptian statue in the Metropolitan Museum when I thought - how funny would it be to have someone stick their head in it.  I had to wait a long time, but eventually this woman from S. America darted foward and stuck her head in it for one of her companions to photograph.  The statue is of Queen somebody or other, something like 5000 years old.
