I seem to be preparing for something. I just put a second USB 2.0 card with four more sockets in the PC (that's my last slot) and ordered a drive enclosure for a 120 gig drive I've had sitting around doing nothing.
I go at things in a backwards, mysterious way - and I may be moving towards picking up a digital body for my Canon lenses. Maybe. It seems to me that the Digital Rebel, just from the point of view of a learning experience - is worth the price.
And I find myself looking again at the HP Photosmart 7960, the idea being that I'm not really satisfied with the larger b&w prints with the MIS inks - 1) takes too long and 2) they don't have the presence of the darkroom prints at larger sizes. So I was thinking - okay - stay small with the digital output - go with the 7960 for b&w and switch the 1280 back to the usual color cartridges... just a thought, but I guess I'm considering it.
