Picking Up Dime

Picking up Dime

I saw the dime gleam at the same moment that the shirtless guy saw it and focused on the dime. I wasn't sure if he was going to reach for it, or continue to cross the street, but suddenly he looked around quickly to see if anyone was watching, and then bent down and snatched up the dime.

Pigeons at Fountain

I basically stood at the fountain waiting for the pigeons to come back. This was shot with a 50mm lens, and I was making weird cooing noises trying to attract the pigeons. It works with my cat, so why not with these critters. And it did work.

Pigeons are about as close as I get to nature photography in Manhattan. I think they should be the symbol of New York. They are smart, resourceful, and generally well-behaved birds.
