One thing for sure - mark your calendars if you are in New York City - I will definitely be going to the Mermaid Day Parade on June 26 (not as a participant).  This is my favorite event to photograph and I will just hope for good weather.

All Is Almost Still

Last Scene, All Is Almost Still

I'm placing the color shots from the rehearsal on one page here.

In case you're wondering - these were all shot under fairly low light and very contrasty conditions.  Typical exposure (as far as I remember) was F2.0 / 1/30 sec / 800 ASA.  They were all shot with Fujicolor 800, from about 30 feet away, with a long-ish lens, on a tripod (mirror lock-up and all that).

I just wanted to give a plug for the DiMage 5400 scanner.  I began using it in batch mode this week, doing a lot of "automated" scanning and the thing really does work well.  It's not only the hardware - but the software is very well designed as well.
