Spent a lot of time at the peace rally -- if that's what you want to call it -- today. I don't know what to call it, but it felt more like a carnival or a rite of Spring. At any rate, it was peaceful, and the cops were nice and friendly and didn't block people in much as they did last year. All in all, if you didn't read the signs, you might have felt like you were at Carnival.
Lots of film. I always shoot more than I expect to at these affairs, and I felt that this was some of the best shooting I've done in a while. At one point, I put the wide angle on, and was practically lying in the street shooting up while paper mache masked people strode over me. (Always looking for that unusual shot).
Tomorrow is the big party for my father -- so the Elan is getting quite a workout.
