1636 - Dad In Living Room, - Bronx, NY 2002

The green couch, where my sister spilled the red shoe polish used to be behind and to the left of where my dad is standing. Do you remember when little girls wore red shoes? My sister was four and I was six, and she had the idea of polishing her shoes while sitting on the couch and when the polish spilled, we were terrified. We put a towel on top of it, and hoped that my mom wouldn't notice when she got back. But it was hopeless.

The tiny t.v. was in front of the radiator. The only thing that's changed in 37 years are the windows which are now metal. The crappy mouldings, the uneven walls, all that is just as it was.

I offer several Bronx photographs as Note Cards here
